Onscreen Offscreen

Practical Magic

Josh Dietrich
konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

All right everybody. It is onscreen offscreen back with another episode. We've got Justice Josh, just so great at everything. He's constantly honoring and like if he were in the Ages, he would be that night in Shining Armor. And then we've got lovely, luxurious, lyrical Lauren.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Sorry, Conlin, or sorry, audience con's. Having a stroke. Uh.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Lauren is the greatest like in the entire world. There's very, very few people ever get to be just as good as she is. We are gonna start off this episode after my great introduction. Best introduction ever our basically other shared topic, my hero, academia. Josh, I would like to hear your thoughts first.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Okay. Um, season one, I absolutely love this show. I think it's phenomenal. It gives very sky high vibes, um, but as an enemy, um, and I love Sky High. This is something that's right up my alley. Um, I was actually originally rooting for him to get gadgets and like become a hero. Not through magical means. Um, yeah, a Batman or a sidekick from season two, I really love her. Um, but he does become a hero through magical means, and I wasn't mad at it actually. I thought it was very good what they decided to do. Um, I love the villain arc in season one. It was a little bit simpler, but they were doing like. Set up. So I'm, I was to, I was very satisfied with it. Um, URIs and MAD's friendship is like so awesome. I absolutely love them two. I'm totally shipping them. Those two, those two should be together for sure. Um, so I gave season one an 8.3 out of 10. Um, season two. I love the sports, um, stuff. Uh, very cool. Introdu introduction. I love how they, he did a different kind of villain. Um, staying is one of the greatest anime villains, plain and simple. He was such a good villain for this and it, they did the Vader thing where they didn't really talk about it too much. They just kind of showed you a couple of things and left it for you to just understand like, that dude is terrifying and a totally paid off. Uh, so I gave season two. Um. At 8.2 outta 10, uh, I wasn't as high on it'cause I, I still don't get why Bgo hates Madia so much. I understand why Madia wants to beat Bgo so much, but the fact that it's reversed and he just hates him so much, I just, I don't get that. Um, especially since Madia has been just like praising and loving him and talking him up for so long. I get it. If you, if he had beaten you at something, but he never has, you got no reason to outshine him. He's a little bug that is an irritant and I just, he absolutely hates it. And I don't, I don't get that at all. Um, season three, uh, also what they do with the villains, how they basically merge season one and season two in a very. It makes total sense. It evolves into that. I absolutely love that. Um, and once again, URI and MAD's relationship is getting even better, better, better. I shipped them so hard. Um, I gave it an 8.1 out of 10 so far. This show is absolutely fantastic. It is so good. I'm excited to watch more. I have gotten some information that ruins it a little bit for me, but I'm still loving the show. It's still a fantastic show and, um, I, I wanna watch more for sure.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Cool. Cool. All right. What about you, Lauren?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Um, I'm absolutely obsessed, uh, with the show. As you can see, I have a razor head. I have aka I have all my madia and I'm so mad. I forget his name. but, uh, I know his rival Tetsu Tetsu. Why can I not think of his name? Anyway, but I have him. That's, uh. So I have like, uh, and then I have all of the manga because I started watching this when I think there was only four seasons out and I finished two, four seasons of the anime. And I was like, I can't wait for them to make more anime, so I'm just gonna go buy all of the books. And then I read up to where the Mongo was being released and then was reading each chapter each week. Yeah, I absolutely love this series. I love Madia as a character. Normally those type of characters annoy me because he is, um, he's like the cinnamon role that he, he's smart in the way that he analyzes everything and everyone, so he like knows their, their weaknesses where they can, uh, do better and things like that. Which, um. I've seen all of the movies and I don't like the movies as much as I like the seasons because they don't stay true to MAD's like analytically, how do I work around a problem? they're always like, I got a punch. Harder.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

He does that in the show too, to be fired.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

does, he does. Which, um, but he. Like not to the extent of, and I can't remember which one it specifically is, but I actually went and saw it in theaters the villain's superpower is whatever you do to him, he just reflects it and it. Hits you twice as hard. Um, and so he's like, I just, he's like, I have to push through my boundaries and hit him even harder. Like, no, I'm like, think around the problem. Oh, it made me so angry. Um, because yeah, he just. And one thing that makes me laugh about this series is when he does, uh, when he punches, they'll say like, SMASH, or like, and it's always like, um, US cities or like, or if it's a really big one and it's like Texas smash, it kills me. I think it's hilarious.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Clobber.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Well, it's always smash no matter what, but it's like there's different, uh, cities and, and like states and stuff that they'll put in. Um, but yeah, I agree with Josh with staying as one of my favorite, villains and I love how he, um. That's one of my favorite arcs in the My Hero universe. Um, followed up with,'cause you guys are only reviewing seasons one, two, and three. My next favorite arc is coming up for you guys. So, um, yeah, I, I really like it. I think eraser head's one of my favorite characters. I think he's just. Absolutely hilarious. Um, I love how he like shows up to class in a sleeping bag and

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Do with it yourselves. You're adults. I don't care.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

so freaking funny. Um, and, uh, yeah, he's one of my favorite characters. I also really like all my, um. He's just like trying to be a symbol of hope. Um, and like how stain, uh, if anybody has watched, hasn't watched the series. Uh, stain has an ideology that heroes are just being heroes for the money of it and aren't actually being heroic. Um, other than almight. Um. And so he is like, he feels like the only person who can actually put him behind bars would be Almight. And they call him Heroes Killer Stain because he is going around and killing all of the heroes that he doesn't think, fit up to what a hero should be. Um, and I, yeah, it's, and his power is like, it, it's so frightening because if he gets like, um. If he tastes your blood, he can freeze you. Uh, so he goes around with like these knives and stuff and he cuts, people, licks their blood and then, um, yeah, makes'em freeze and they can kill'em. Uh, but yeah, I absolutely love how the in this anime like it is in an ensemble. Uh, and, but every single character I feel like is given. Attention and love with their backstory, with their arcs, like even just the smallest of them. Uh, and it's like, it's shown in the, in the manga, and I think it shines through in the anime as well. I absolutely love this series. I would rank it as. I'm trying to give it a reason not to be a 10.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

You can give tens.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I think it's a 10 for me.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Everybody on this podcast gives tens. It's totally okay.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

No, no, I made a, I had a brain hemorrhage.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

yeah. At the beginning of this episode.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

No, I give a 10 to the, but whatcha talking about I would give tens? Tens don't exist.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Um, but yeah, I, I, think of a reason not to give it a 10, um, except for later, so 9.5. So, but I don't wanna ruin anything for you guys. the anime, I would say Monga stays a 10.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Okay. Okay. I, um, really, really, really like this show. Like a lot, actually. did hit my, I'm kind of done with anime. tried to watch a little bit more of season four and I was like, I can't do it right now. I just can't. Um, one of the most impressive things about this anime, honestly, every single one of these always has one creepy pervert character. Every single one of them. And they're always the most annoying character in the anime. And most of the time they ruin the show. Like demon Slayer has the yellow haired freak and he is awful. I skip parts with him in it'cause he is such a terrible character. This one has the purple haired guy who throws the goblets. I can't remember his name,

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Mineta.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

He's, he's still a creepy freak and I wish that they wouldn't put that in the animes, but he is by far the best one. Like it is not even close. He is by miles the best one. there's the part where they're going through the, the like tournament, the, the challenges where they're facing the teachers and they literally have him develop as a character based on him being a pervert. That is a miracle in anime. Anime has never done that. I have never seen anything like that. That's insane. They actually made a storyline that didn't suck with one of those characters. Hallelujah. Praise this show. Um, I, I think the, I think everything in this anime is really good. I think there are better aspects other animes, but it's hardly ever done in the, in a solid package as well. So like demon slayer, I think the fights are just better. I think they, the animation is better. I, I think the fights are better, but the fights are really good in this, soul eater. I like the power sets that are in soul eater better, but all of the powers are good in this, uh, black clover. I. think the world is more interesting, but the world in this is good. So everything they, they just do everything really well. The villains are absolutely excellent in this. My biggest negative to this show is I love seeing characters develop and watching how their power sets are going to improve. So like demon slayer, I'm really interested in what he will learn and how he will get stronger. this one, I'm kind of like, well, we see almight. And he's gonna become that. So, okay. And that doesn't ruin the show. I still really enjoy the show, but I wish his powers kind of shifted and were a little bit different than Almight, where now it just kind of feels like, oh, his body can't handle all the power and his body's getting stronger. Cool.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

are gonna be very happy when you keep watching.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

That makes me very happy.'cause that's my. Biggest ne by far, biggest negative of the show.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I don't care how you develop. Oh, you got a little bit more powerful, cool, whatever. And I love, I love the progression fantasy. It is, I probably like it too much'cause it's often the exact same thing. But I, I just love that and I'm not getting, getting that aspect quite as much. Even with, um, what, what's the fire and ice guy's name?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Oh, uh.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Showed up really cool power set, like, I really like it. It's cool how it affects his body. I was like, that is awesome. the same time, it's like, oh, he just puts more ice and more fire out. Okay,

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I love how the fandom has, just call him Icy Hot.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

really?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

they do. Of course they do.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

because that's what Baca go calls him.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

That's awesome.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Oh, there's, um, so I, I can't remember if this is the point where they're like picking hero names and things, but there was like a big thing of like, Bako hadn't chosen his, uh, hero name yet. And it, he was like the last one or whatever. So like the fandom was going crazy about, they're like, what, what is he gonna name his hero and stuff? And I was like, it should be F-bomb. Zero name should be fbo like. People are like, no, I think it should be caught on. I was like, wait, no. I think we moved too fast from fbo,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Fbo. Great.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

like a whole lineup of all of these different things and I was like, the author should look at my suggestions please, but.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Um, anyway, this show's really, really good. I do, this is a side thing, but um. You've got how it should have ended, and they have the villain pub and every single time the villains are in the pub, in this anime, I just think to myself, someone had to have copied this. This has to have come from somewhere.'cause that is insane. It looks the exact same. It's like they copied the villain pub from, from the other, uh, YouTube show. If you guys haven't seen it, it's really good. uh, yeah, those are. Kind of my thoughts, but still highly enjoyable. Still really will continue watching it. I think for me it's like an eight. It's an eight. I'll give it an eight. Yeah. With that, let's go to our next one. Um, I guess I'm kind of the only one in the world with a topic, the substance. Have you guys heard of this?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Nope.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

No. This movie is brilliant. It's really, really freaking good. Um, Moore, do you guys know who Demi Moore is? Okay. She is a aging actress. Like she basically plays herself in her, her life. Um, she is getting older, so. The executives at the place that she works, the studio that she works, just kinda wanna kick her out and replace her with somebody younger and talented and they bring up an advertisement. It's like we want the young Demi Moore and someone lets her know about this thing that's called the substance. the substance. You can shoot yourself up and out of your back, splits a younger version of you, but you can only stay that younger version for a week, and then you have to go back to the older version. And it's working for'em. They're going back and forth and back and forth, and it says a lot about like we view aging women in our society. That was really interesting. says a lot about how we view beauty standards, like the waste of youth, all of these different topics that are largely talked about but explored very well very often, and they did a good job with it. In this story, the. and the younger version kind of starts splitting off more and more and more. They get more and more of a different personality, a different way of living. And the younger version resents the older version basically for being old, not being able to do all these fun things. And the older version resents the younger version for being so like flamboyant and flippant and. Not learning from the lessons that she learned. They both originally shared memories. They should grow, they should become something more. And it's, it says a lot about do you act the way that you act? Do you act more mature because you are more mature or because you've just aged? There's a lot of good questions there. So you have this horror movie that has so many different layers to it. As the movie goes along, the younger version doesn't want to go back to the older person's body. They don't want to have to switch back and forth. They just don't want to do it. So they start stealing from the older Demi Moore and when they go a week in one day, the older Demi Moore's leg starts to run a little bit. And she might start getting like weird humps places, eventually if they don't switch back and forth, the younger version will die. has to switch. So she has to switch, the older version is now getting more and more deformed and mutated, and she can't go out in public anymore, and she's literally losing her life. And because she's losing her life, she's losing her beauty, she's losing all of these different aspects that. Have given her so much value. feels like she can't go outside anymore and she misses when she's her younger self being. some guy look at her and be like, wow, look at that girl. And she doesn't get that anymore. So she doesn't wanna go outside. eventually the depression just pushes her and pushes her and pushes her until she decides, okay, I'm gonna be my younger self again. And then the younger self steals from the older self again and again and again, and it becomes this perpetual loop is extremely sad. acting is phenomenal. it's a, it's a slow burn movie, but the entire time I was just like glued to the screen. I, I've never seen anything like this movie, ever. I've never seen anything like it. It's, uh, it was kind of haunting to me. And the ending is, is gruesome. Like the ideas are so interesting. I wanna recommend it to you, but the ending is gruesome. Like it is, it's like it's some body horror, some very intense body horror, but. Part of the body horror makes the point that the movie is trying to make, everything is moving towards these ideas and these points that are, are, are larger than a typical horror movie would be. These are the kind of things that I like in horrors, like it's exploring the darker parts of ourselves. These are these darker ideals. I think this movie is absolutely brilliant and I would, I would genuinely give it a 9.5, like I think it's that good.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

So close to a.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

So close to a 10. So close. uh, I haven't watched it a second time. I'm wondering if it holds up as well.'cause I was so glued to like, what happens next? What happens next where would I be That invested a second time? I don't know. I think so, but it, it's just, just so good. It's so good. Such a good movie. Um, Josh, I'd be interested in what you think about this one if you ever watch it, but it is, uh, there is, there's quite a bit of nudity unfortunately. Um, but the ideas are just super interesting when they switch places. Both the older and younger version are, are naked and they used the older body versus the younger body to also make this point. But none of it felt like. Uh, all of it felt like you were watching somebody create art who wanted to convey an idea versus shoving a message, if that makes sense. Anyway, with that, we'll go on to our other shared topic, practical magic. And Lauren, you are the one who originally brought this up, so tell us what you think about this movie.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Okay, so Practical Magic follows, um, oh, why can't I think of her name? Miss Congeniality,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Sandra book

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Sandra Bullock. Thank you.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

and the really, really, really attractive redhead, what's her name?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

oh, I have no idea. Um.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

also super famous.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah. Uh, so it's following, uh, Sandra Bullock's character. Um, when they're little, uh, there's like this curse that if their family here is like this Beatle, then like their husband's gonna die or going to happen. so the younger girl's like, oh, well then I'm gonna cast a spell. So that, um. My husband's gonna be somebody who doesn't exist because I'm gonna come up with all these wild ideas so that that never happens to me. Um, so it's like he has two different colored eyes. His favorite, uh, his favorite shapes a star. Uh, all these like things that she can think of, um, and family are witches. It's like this family of witches in, uh, modern days. And so. grows up, she ends up marrying somebody, but then tragedy befalls him and she's like, I'm done with everything. I'm done with magic. I'm done. Like, guys couldn't bring him back. Like, um, so she was like, she was really angry at her aunts for like not bringing him back, uh, for a while. And um, so it's very interesting, um,'cause. I think Sandra Bullock has a very niche set of movies that these circumstances all happen in where she's trying to save somebody from dying and like knows the future and like the, like it would be weird if it happened twice. It's really weird. It happened three times. Um, but anyways, so, uh, her sister is kind of more of like a wild child and, um. goes off with this abusive guy and ends up killing him, uh, on accident in self-defense. Yeah. So she brings back the body and she's like, what do I do with this? Um, and so the, they end up burying him and, and then the, uh, the sheriff that's like looking for this guy ends up coming into town and is exactly what she had. Um. Said who she would fall in love with and like, be her husband when she was a kid. His favorite color, his favorite thing's a star.'cause he's a, he's a sheriff. Different colored eyes. Um, anyway, so you have like this whole thing of where Vanderbilt is trying to like, cover up for her sister. Um, and like all this intense shenanigans and there's like little bits of, uh, magic in. This movie that like, I find very charming. and then there's like the quote that I have in my kitchen that's like, plant lavender for luck or keep lavender by your garden gate. Uh, I can't remember the quote exactly. And fall in love whenever you can. Um, I mean this is, I know this has like a cult following. I, I'm like a. casual watcher of this when it's, sometimes I'll watch it. It's not quite my yearly watch. it's like every other year I'll watch this in the fall. Um, but yeah, uh, I, I would probably give it like. 7.5. Um, I enjoy it. Uh, I like Sandra Bullock. I like the, one of the aunts. I love her. I can't think of, um, she said so many things, but I like her as well. Um, yeah. Um, yeah, 7.5. it.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

cool. Cool. All right, Josh, I'm curious, what do you think I'm gonna rate this movie.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Uh, 7.5.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Okay. I do not like this movie. I don't, and I wish I did. The things that I like about this movie. One, I think the Sheriff Star thing is actually really cool. I legitimately was like, I like that idea. The idea of the different talismans can mean different things. I thought that was a cool idea. Um, two, this is the most attractive Sandra Bullock has ever been in any movie, ever. very, very good looking in this movie to the point where I was like, wow. Uh, the ants are funny. I did enjoy the ants. The thing that I don't like about this movie at all is you have the, father character who dies to this old curse, right? And he dies. And then all of a sudden these sheriff's here and they're like in love. And I wasn't this love at all. I was not going for this love at all. I don't think it's cute. The fact that it feels all magically for, uh, forced, like it feels magically forced is icky to me. I don't enjoy it at all. And you could say it's like fate or whatever. I did not think it was like fate or whatever. It feels like magical, like rape in my mind. I don't like it at all. Uh, I found the thing to be, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Like sisterhood of traveling pants does not work. This felt like that. Didn't really like it. They're both great actresses. I really buy the whole sister bonding thing, which is really important to buy into this movie. whole idea of them having to murder this guy, they've done magic their entire life. You don't know how much magic to put in to be able to like, put the guy asleep or get, uh, get him to go somewhere else. Like you can't do anything. Really. Why? don't get it. Um, I really like Sandra Bullock like a lot. I think she's a great actress. I was excited for this movie. I do not like this movie. Um, the, the guy comes back as a haunted spirit or whatever, and then enters, uh, de colt, kidman's body, and it's like, again, just unappealing. And it wasn't like horrifying. It was just unappealing. It's just got a lot of stuff in it that I was like, I don't like that. don't like that. I don't like that there's good in it, but there's a lot I do not like, and I would give it a three, maybe a four. I might be convinced for a four, but I'm not a fan of this movie, Josh, what do you think?

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Uh, I hate to be this guy, but I kind of gotta agree with Conlan. Um. I also hate this movie. Um, I think the acting is bad. There's no world building. There are no rules to this magic. Um, I wasn't mad that she didn't know how much to give him because like, it was a panic situation. She was driving and she was just freaking out'cause her sister was being attacked. Like it felt, not like,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

there's the

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

I don't know how much to give her.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

and

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Okay.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

could have driven away. They could have driven away

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

I agree with you there, but with the poisoning, right? Like she's just freaking out. She's just doing whatever. Um, the reason I personally hate this movie so much is I feel like the message is, no matter how unrealistic your list is, ladies, you'll find everything you're looking for.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

also agree with that

And also men don't matter at all, uh, because the dad dies. And the only reason the dad ever matters is when Sandra Bullock and her sister are laying in the bed and they say, did you ever forgive mom? And she says, sometimes. And that is it. And then the new little girls die, dad dies. And they're like, oh man, that's a bummer. Anyway, and. Then the end of this movie happens and they're like, and Sandra Bullock falls in love again. And I'm like, okay, so that guy's a goner. He is gonna die too. They didn't do anything to solve this curse. They didn't, there's no rules to this magic. I don't get what's going on. Um, it felt very. Back and forth. Like they didn't know what movie they were making.'cause it was originally like, it's a movie about sisterhood. No, it's a movie about love. No, it's a movie about abuse. No, it's a movie about sisterhood again. And it, there was no flow to this movie. Uh, there was no plot to this movie. It literally was like, Hey, let's make a Halloween hate man movie. And we're gonna make men be either abusive or just not matter the end. Yay us. That's literally what it felt like to be, uh, total, total crap. I'm sorry.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Even the children don't care that their dad just died. Like I don't even remember a part where they were sad.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

There wasn't a part. It immediately cuts to Sandra Bullock.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

he's a sheriff. Yay.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Well, no.'cause they do show up the one time before that. Cassandra Bullock is sad not getting out of bed, and she, the daughter shows up and says, stop being sad, mom. Get up

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Oh man. I, I did not enjoy this movie. Oh. What is your rating, Josh?

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

negative six.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Okay. Uh, there were a few. I don't, I, I want to be generous and give a three. I wanna be generous and give a three'cause there are a few things, a few things that I liked a few, but I did not like this movie. I'm sorry, Lauren.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Uh, I feel bad. I've been, uh, recommending all the crap stuff this past couple of days.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Genuinely, like am so sorry that I hate this movie so much.'cause I really love Sandra Bullock. Uh, like, I love Miss Congeniality. I love the proposals. One of my favorite rom-coms,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Ever.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

like, I would love to love this movie, but when I feel like it's just giving a bad message to women and hating men, I. I, I don't see redeeming qualities in it. I don't see anything good in this movie. Uh, there's no consistency in this movie. Are the townspeople afraid of the witches? I don't know. Because they treat'em like crap until they say, Hey, come do this, spell with me. Then they're all like, what? That's so cool. Let's go do that. And then this demon sister starts wigging out.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

and they're just like, whoa, that's so

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

so cool. Yeah, it's, uh, I, I have no positive notes for this movie. It's, it's not good. I'm sorry.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah, I'm dropping my score'cause Josh is right. I tried it. I'm trying to be nice. I don't, I did not like this movie. I did not like this movie. This gets a two because Sandra Bullock is so attractive. I know, like be nice to this. I do not like this movie.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

You should just drop it to a one.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I just dropped to a one. It's a

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

This is a one. I don't like this movie. And this is, unfortunately, this is my least favorite cinder blogs movie, I can't think of one I don't like. I like this.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Bird box.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

like Bird Box more than I like this, and I don't think it's a very good movie.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Gravity. I haven't seen it, but I've heard it's pretty bad.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I actually think Gravity is a decent movie.

joshua-dietrich_2_11-04-2025_144935:

Okay.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

It's a fun time. It's not great, but it's a fun time. Um, it's just, yeah, this is my least favorite one. Even mis Congeniality two is better than this movie that's not a good movie.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Take that back.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Do you like mis congeniality too?

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

I mean, like I don't have any problems with it,

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

Yeah.

lauren--fellowship-_2_11-04-2025_174934:

but I haven't seen it in years, so.

konlin-gappmayer_2_11-04-2025_174934:

either. Maybe that should be one of our topics. Anyway, guys, that's gonna be our episode. Sorry I ended on a bummer. No, if we're all completely wrong and you think practical magic is fantastic, you're wrong and that's okay. But you can tell us why we're wrong and that's also okay. I hope that you guys have a better tomorrow than today and just keep going forward. We appreciate y'all like, subscribe, all that good stuff. See you guys. Bye.
